Tanker 6 – Keeping the Water Flowing
Built in 2007 by Metalfab Fire Trucks on an International 7600 chassis, Tanker 6 is a crucial part of our fleet, ensuring we never run dry during rural firefighting operations. With a massive 3,000-gallon water capacity, this truck’s primary role is to shuttle water to areas without immediate hydrant access.
While not often used for pumping, Tanker 6 is equipped with a 520 GPM Hale pump, providing flexibility when needed. A key feature of this apparatus is its dump tank system, allowing us to quickly unload water and return for another load, keeping a steady supply flowing to the fireground.
With much of our district lacking immediate water sources, Tanker 6 is always ready to bridge the gap and keep our operations running strong. 🚒💦
