Truck 4 – Small but Mighty
Built in 2004 by Metalfab Fire Trucks on an International 4400DT570 chassis, Truck 4 may be the oldest in our fleet, but it remains a vital resource for our department. Don’t let its size fool you—this truck is equipped with a 450 GPM Hale pump, making it a powerful asset in the right conditions.
Its compact design makes it ideal for hard-to-reach brush and grass fires, where larger trucks may struggle to navigate. Additionally, Truck 4 is fully equipped with drafting gear, allowing it to serve as a critical water source in rural areas where hydrants may not be available.
One of its standout features is its pump-and-roll capability—meaning it can continue pumping water while driving, an essential function for tackling large grass fires where mobility is key.
